EDUCATION

I completed my 4 years of pre-medical studies at the University of Iowa, before continuing onto the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of chiropractic, for more years of chiropractic school. While attending Palmer, I took advanced coursework in chiropractic techniques including: Activator Methods, Gonstead, Thompson, Upper Cervical, Physical Therapy and Rehab, and Radiology. Since getting my Doctorate in Chiropractic care, I have continued my education and am currently certified in Acupuncture, Maximized Living Corrective Care, and Maximized Living Nutrition. I am also completing a post-graduate certification in advanced adjusting of extremities (shoulders, wrists, knees, ankles, etc.) through the C.C.E.P. program.

I am also finishing up work towards being a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner. The C.C.W.P. program is the highest level of certification in the areas of Nutrition, Fitness, and Stress Management.

My advanced education really sets me apart in my ability to treat highly challenging and difficult cases such as ADHD, autism, digestive disorders, Fibromyalgia, and even things such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. While chiropractic in general is helpful in these cases, our expertise and level of specific neurologically-based care combined with nutrition allows us to get the highest level of results in these areas, while maintaining incredible safety and satisfaction.

Our practice is very dedicated to caring for these challenging cases, but at the same time we continue to provide amazing results for all sorts of general and family conditions – colic/reflux, asthma, allergies, ear infections, chronic immune challenges, constipation, bed-wetting, and so much more. On top of all that, almost three fourths of our entire practice sees us on regular basis for wellness care – focused simply on staying healthy for life!

I am currently blessed to have an extremely family-friendly office that provides care to the entire family. I make it a priority to always put education and empowerment first, and spend as much time as I can conveying a message of health and hope to my patients and my community. I have made it my mission to make sure the next generation of children have a vision of health and wellness that is way beyond what we currently have.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Everyone who knows me know that I love sports and athletics.

As a former wrestler, my dream was always to make an Olympic team as an athlete. When my athletic career never made it that far, I had to change my goal – to make an Olympic team as a coach or chiropractor. In 2012 my life-long dream was realized as I had the honor of being selected as the Official Chiropractor for USA Wrestling at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. I would like to give thanks to USA Wrestling and Maximized Living for providing me with the exceptional opportunities to represent our country and our chiropractic internationally and nationally as well the Olympic Trials, World Team Trials, and NCAAs nationally.

I have also had the honor of serving as the Team Chiropractor for the Grandview University Wrestling Team locally here in Des Moines. I also have a passion for nutrition and have a separate business dedicated to helping people transform their lives physically and emotionally through customized weight loss and nutritional coaching. When I am not attending wrestling and other sporting events, I love spending my free time with my family or outdoors with my dog, Boji whom I rescued from a humane society in 2002. I also grew up loving boating and fishing and seek out time at the lake or the beach whenever possible. And most days of the week I am dedicated to getting in a bible study and a work out as I continue to get to know and glorify our Lord, Jesus Christ in mind, body, and spirit.
